Jennifer Clark from Viola, WI has been awarded the National Outstanding Guernsey Young Farmer runner-up this past June at the National Guernsey Convention. This award is given annually to Guernsey producers between the ages of 22-35 who demonstrate outstanding potential in their work with registered
Guernseys. As a recipient of this award, Jen received a sponsorship to attend the National Guernsey Convention. Jen has been an ANC Consultant since 1998.
Along with Jen’s individual award, her family farm, Wesgray Guernseys was also named the top herd in the nation for their 2009 rolling herd average for milk (23,024 lbs.), fat (4.7%), and protein (3.2%). Their highest producing
Guernsey, Wesgray Alliance Juicy, a four year old, won the New England Trophy for milk production (37,915 lbs.) and the California Protein Award for protein production (3.2%). Both awards were based off of the 305 day record. With just under 40,000 pounds of milk, Juicy was the top
Guernsey cow in the nation for milk and protein production. Congratulations Jen and Wesgray
Guernseys!
