DAIRY HP-BIO is a supplemental stress product designed for higher producing cows in early lactation, and for cows 3 weeks before freshening (PrefreshRations). Research shows many production and health benefits from the use of the ingredients in Dairy HP-Bio. However, if dozens and dozens of micronutrients are fed, they will not necessarily produce an additive response! This is why it is important to include the best combination of ingredients, realizing it would be unproductive and cost prohibitive to "throw" everything into the bag. Dairy TM is a magnesium supplement fortified with potassium, sulfur, and trace minerals that is routinely used in the ANC ration balancing program to meet magnesium requirements. It is advantageous to use a product such as Dairy TM as those forages that are lower in magnesium content (grasses and corn silage) also tend to be lower in trace mineral levels. Dairy TM also works to insure that there is an adequate supply of ruminally available potassium and sulfur.
