HI PRO 26-15 MILK REPLACER BENEFITS
- 100% All milk proteins and fats from food grade sources
- High quality proteins and fats deliver optimal digestibility, palatability and nutrient profiles that enable fast and efficient gains
- Formulated to be fed at rates that suckling calves naturally consume
- Increased growth rate from birth to weaning
- Decreases age at first calving
- Increased efficiency of gain (more gain per lb. of feed fed)
- Calves on a higher plane of nutrition stay healthier
- Healthier calves decrease labor and medicine costs
- 26% Protein and 15% fat content
- Extensive research shows that a 26% protein level is the critical concentration required for high performing calves
- Research also shows that 15% fat is the optimal level delivering all the energy needed while allowing for an increased lean to fat tissue ratio
- This combination of protein and fat fed at higher than traditional rates increases Parenchymal tissue (mammary cells) essential for future milk production
- Fortified with optimal levels of Vitamin E, Organic Trace Minerals, and Selenium Yeast
- Combining these essential nutrients with a higher plane of nutrition enhances the calves ability to fend off disease challenge
HI PRO 26-15 MIXING & FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
- Please work with your ANC Consultant for feeding instructions, calculations, and mixing guides.
- Use a scale and thermometer, along with accurate liquid measurement containers!
- Milk replacer powder needs to be mixed at a concentration of between 14-15% of the water, regardless of the amount fed.
Typical Feeding Instructions:
Mix 1.25 lbs. of Hi Pro 26-15 milk replacer powder with 0.88 of a gallon (7.32 lbs. or 3.52 quarts) of water (110°F-115°F) to equal one gallon of reconstituted milk replacer. Adding 1.25 pounds to a full gallon of water, the solution will be too dilute! For a 2 quart feeding, mix together 0.625 lbs. of Hi Pro 26-15 milk replacer powder and 0.44 of a gallon (or 3.66 lbs. or 1.76 quarts) of water.
Clean, fresh water needs to be available at all times. Provide 20-22% Crude Protein Calf Starter free choice to appetite on day 4. After calves consume 2 to 3 lbs. of Calf Starter for 2 to 3 days, calves can be weaned. Never start calves at more than 2 quarts per feeding, 2 times per day. Feed the appropriate amount according to this chart:
SMALL BREED CALVES LARGE BREED CALVES
Age of Calf Amount of Reconstituted Water and Milk Replacer Mix
4-14 days feed 2 – 2 ½ quarts, twice daily feed 1 ½ – 2 quarts, twice daily
14-35 days feed 2 ½ – 3 ½ quarts, twice daily feed 2 – 2 ½ quarts, twice daily
35-56 days feed 2 – 2 ½ quarts, twice daily feed 1 ½ – 2 quarts, twice daily
Cold Weather Feeding: When feeding at 30°F, calves need 1.3 times the standard daily serving. At 0°F, calves need 1.6 times the standard daily serving.
Specialized on the farm mixing guides are available; please contact your ANC Independent Consultant to receive one.
MEDICATED
For the prevention of coccidiosis in non-ruminating and ruminating calves and cattle caused by E. bovis and E. zurnii. DO NOT feed to cows producing milk for food or veal calves.
